On Saturday 1st March 10 teams of 4 to 6 people assembled in the Church Hall at Long Crendon to take part in a Quiz Night organised by Kevin and Mary Nash which was designed to provide a fun evening for parishioners and their friends and to raise money for New Leaf.

The evening was well supported by parishioners from both Long Crendon and Haddenham and the hall was filled to capacity with a happy band of people seeking to put their their knowledge to the test. The competitive part of the evening was split into six sessions with ten questions in each session on subjects which included Geography, Music, Sport, Language and Food and Drink. During the interval  a supper was provided which consisted of fish or chicken with chips followed by a small ice cream cone and each team was given sheets of paper with pictures of 20 local places of interest to identify.

The winning team was presented with a case of wine, but the real winners were the people who had experienced a most enjoyable evening in the company of friends.

Thanks are due to Kevin and his team who organised and delivered a splendid evening of entertainment.
